Alied is the Latam Lead at Diversity VC, working to foster DEI in Latin America alongside VC funds and partners. She is passionate about DEI and impact investing and spent the last 5 years working within the impact and VC ecosystem. Previously, she worked at Vox Capital, an impact investment firm in Brazil, and at EDP Ventures, investing in cleantech startups. She also writes about climatech in Latam and co-founded Elas&VC.
Andras is an entrepreneur and investor in deep tech and life sciences. He is Senior Partner at Starlight Ventures, a venture capital firm for founders addressing the world’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Starlight partners early with unstoppable entrepreneurs leveraging breakthrough science and technology to pursue progress at scale.
Andras is founder, director & former CEO of Modern Meadow, a protein application platform company developing novel materials and ingredients for a healthier planet. Named as a 2018 Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Modern Meadow’s Bio-Alloy biomaterials and collagen-inspired fermentation-derived proteins address high performance and sustainable applications in fashion, beauty and wellness markets. Andy is the Head at SVB’s Global Gateway Team, which assists innovation companies in the emerging markets with their US and international market expansion. He brings more than 20 years of experience banking dynamic companies in technology industries worldwide.
In his roles, Andy manages SVB’s relationships with venture capital and private equity firms outside the U.S., and also helps emerging market companies as they seek U.S. market entry and U.S. companies as they seek to expand abroad. In both capacities, he provides these firms with strategic advice and banking services, including debt financing, based on a deep understanding of their needs.

Ariel is Managing Partner at Brainstorm Ventures, a generalist VC firm that invests at the earliest stages in some of the most exciting tech startups in the Americas. Past and present unicorns include OpenTable, Zappos, KIO Networks and Turing. He serves on the board of Defy Ventures, a nonprofit that provides entrepreneurship training to incarcerated people. Brittany helped pioneer direct listings in the groundbreaking Spotify transaction in 2018. She has co-authored numerous articles on direct listings, including a case study on Spotify’s direct listing. She also contributed to the chapters on direct listings and IPOs in the most recent edition of Investment Banking: Valuation, LBOs, M&A, and IPOs, a best-selling book on deal-making and definitive resource for investment banks, private equity, investment firms, and corporations.
As the Director of Venture Capital at LAVCA, Carlos coordinates the organization’s relationships with venture investors, maintains the Latam Venture Bulletin, the industry’s leading source of VC/tech news in the region, and supports the generation of products and services for Latin America’s venture capital community. He also leads the VC/tech platform for the Global Private Capital Association (GPCA), including relationships with venture investors across Southeast Asia, India, Africa, the Middle East, China, and Central & Eastern Europe.
Carlos was nominated to the Mexican Council of Foreign Relations (COMEXI) and is an Ambassador for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO). He received his B.S. in Economics with honors distinction and Minors in Industrial Engineering and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
Cristiane Nascimento is the International Head at the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. She has been leading the Association´s international outreach for the past 14 years working closely with stakeholders from the private and public sectors. Prior to that, she worked in different roles at the GPCA (formerly known as EMPEA), as well as NatureServe and the Pan American Health Organization of the World Health Organization.
Christine is a partner at IGNIA, an early-stage venture capital fund that invests in global
technology companies that are reinventing the way to do business across Latin America in sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, edtech and Saas. She currently serves on Boards for IGNIA’s portfolio and is an independent Board Member of ALSEA and the Kauffman Fellows.

Cristóbal has more than 12 years of experience as a fundamental investor in public equities and mora than 4 years of experience in venture capital.
He co-managed a portfolio of US$ 1B of equities and high-yield securities in Latam at Bancard (Odisea) outperforming the benchmark by high-teens percentage points. Previously, he was a Senior Analyst at Orbis Investment Management.
